Sureglide manufacturer Ecomed Solutions points out that, as the number of cesarean deliveries increases so does the risk of fetal injury as often the face, cheek, and ear of the fetus are in line with the hysterotomy incision. Unlike typical scalpels, Sureglide’s design eliminates fetal exposure to the blade regardless of uterine wall thickness or number of passes, says Ecomed.
